Job summary

Thrive Mansfield is seeking a Veterinary Technician on the Medical Oncology Team Lead to provide hands-on care, assist with outpatient treatments and lab testing, and support surgery and patient admissions. The role requires 30–40 hours weekly with day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in veterinary oncology or internal medicine, anesthesia and endoscopy exposure, and strong attention to detail. Join a leading network offering comprehensive pet care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an IM or Oncology veterinary technician (preferred).
• Experience in anesthesia and endoscopy.
• Able to observe behavior and condition of animals.
• Comfortable with anesthetic patient monitoring of ASA I-III (preferred ASA I-V).
• Able to obtain blood pressure, interpret ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2; integrate signs with disease processes.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures; maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
• Obtain health history and update medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
