Job summary

EVG Specialty Network is seeking a Veterinary Anesthesiologist in Chattanooga to lead anesthesia and analgesia services within a developing referral setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with surgery, neurology, oncology, and emergency teams to deliver advanced care for high-acuity cases.

Ideal candidates hold DACVAA certification or board-eligible residency, with strong pharmacology expertise and a passion for mentoring staff while ensuring safety and protocol excellence.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD with DACVAA board certification or residency completion (board-eligible).
  • Deep mastery of anesthetic pharmacology, advanced pain management, and critical patient monitoring.
  • Collaborative spirit with a patient-first mindset in a specialty/referral setting.
  • Mentorship focus to guide staff and elevate anesthesia practice.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage tailored anesthesia and pain management plans for complex soft tissue and orthopedic cases, critical care admissions, and advanced diagnostics (CT/MRI).
  • Collaborate with surgery, neurology, oncology, and emergency teams to drive optimal outcomes and case management.
  • Mentor and empower technicians and support staff, fostering ongoing learning in anesthetic protocols and monitoring standards.
  • Oversee anesthesia protocols, equipment maintenance, and safety initiatives.
