Job summary

Chewy Vet Care seeks a Lead Veterinarian to scale a connected omnichannel client experience. You will lead veterinarians and staff, ensure high‑quality medical care, and mentor interdisciplinary teams while upholding Chewy Vet Care standards.

You’ll perform examinations, surgeries, and create treatment plans, while maintaining records and staying current with veterinary advances. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in general medicine and surgery.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• Active State license in good standing and DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Lead veterinarians and staff to provide high‑quality care.
• Perform exams, medical and surgical procedures with patient comfort in mind.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment plans to clients.
• Maintain medical records and logs per policy.
• Stay current with veterinary medicine advances and CE meetings.
• Develop and mentor associates to improve performance and client happiness.
• Oversee compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
