Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) seeks a Veterinary Technician Supervisor for Cardiology & Internal Medicine who will lead nursing staff and oversee daily department operations in a state-of-the-art hospital in Red Bank, NJ. The role balances clinical duties with administrative leadership to ensure exceptional patient care.

Salary ranges reflect credentialed and non-credentialed technicians, with a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• If non-credentialed: Enrollment in AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program a plus.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working as a veterinary nursing team member required.
• Minimum of one year of leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience leading teams within specialty, emergency, or referral veterinary medicine environments preferred.
• Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as hands-on clinical leader while actively participating in patient care.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff, promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Manage daily workflows and staffing to ensure efficient department operations.
• Create and adjust staff schedules based on patient volume and needs.
• Conduct interviews, assist with hiring decisions, and support onboarding.
• Perform evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Oversee payroll processes, attendance management, and PTO requests.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance management and compensation.
• Coordinate with Clinical Trainer to implement department training programs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure proper utilization and availability of equipment, supplies, and resources.
