Rivian in Michigan is seeking a Senior Manager, Safety Test & Validation to lead the Vehicle Safety Engineering test and validation team, defining end‑to‑end testing strategy to meet FMVSS, UNECE, and Euro NCAP standards while ensuring real‑world performance.

You will oversee DVP creation, manage external labs and partners, mentor staff, and drive cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, program management, and homologation teams to deliver safe, reliable vehicles.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience in vehicle safety, crashworthiness, and structural performance with global standards (FMVSS, UNECE, US NCAP, Euro NCAP, IIHS).
• Proven leadership of high-performing teams and technical excellence.
• Strong CAE, crash test planning, and vehicle safety validation expertise.
• Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Drive project management, risk mitigation, and resource alignment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Vehicle Safety Engineering test and validation strategy and execution.
• Define and optimize vehicle- and component-level testing programs to meet internal targets and global standards.
• Oversee DVP development, execution, and milestone tracking.
• Influence cross-functional teams to ensure validation execution success.
• Develop partnerships with test labs, research institutions, and vendors; manage budgets and assets.
• Represent Rivian in regulatory discussions and rating evaluations.
• Maintain internal standards, procedures, and documentation for test events.
• Mentor team members and manage external partners and contracts.
