Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) seeks a skilled Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician III to service, diagnose, and repair a range of gasoline, diesel, and alternative powered engines and equipment at Falls Lake State Park in Wake Forest, NC.

Typical duties include using automotive and heavy equipment repair shop instruments, supervising a small team, managing on-site inventory, and coordinating with contractors to ensure timely maintenance and repair of park

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of repair experience.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and heavy equipment.
• EPA Type I/II/III or Universal technician certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Use and operate shop equipment for automotive and heavy equipment repair.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, and electricals.
• Manage on-site inventory including parts, fuel, and lubrication commodities.
• Supervise skilled and unskilled workers and coordinate work with contractors and vendors.
