Qualifications

• Employment as a teacher in the system is preferred but not required.
• Successful previous experience as a player or coach, preferably in lacrosse.
• Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects and procedures pertinent to lacrosse including MIAA rules.
• Ability to work with students, parents, and community in a professional manner.
• Availability to meet practice and contest schedule as necessary.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School District may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Athletic Director to plan and schedule practices and interscholastic contests.
• Establish fundamental philosophy, skill, and technique training for players.
• Maintain and provide required documentation and records for state and district requirements.
• Monitor players' well-being and supervise activities to protect school facilities.
• Coordinate equipment, supplies, and uniforms with the Athletic Director.
• Assist with budget development and procure equipment as needed.
• Promote good citizenship and sportsmanship; enforce policies and penalties when needed.
• Attend pre-season coaching meetings and end-of-season events.
