Job summary

Franklin Public Schools is seeking a Head Coach Cheerleading for the Varsity squad at Franklin High School. The role reports to the Athletic Director and carries responsibilities for coaching, conditioning, recruitment within NCAA rules, and supporting student-athlete academics.

The position is a temporary, after-school/evening assignment from August 24, 2026 to November 26, 2026, conducted at Franklin High School.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules for recruiting student-athletes.
• Strong coaching and communication abilities with student-athletes and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, and conducting practices, training, and competition.
• Oversee athletic training, strength and conditioning as directed, providing technical support to athletes.
• Assist in recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules.
• Monitor and support student-athletes' academic progress.
• Plan and arrange team travel as needed.
• Serve as a role model for sportsmanship.
