Job summary

St. Petersburg Catholic High School seeks a Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach to lead and grow our program, developing student-athletes both athletically and personally within a faith-centered team culture.

The coach will plan practices and games, mentor players, supervise staff, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with feeder programs to sustain long-term growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school, club, or collegiate coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of soccer strategy, training methods, and player development.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to Catholic education values.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the varsity boys soccer program, including planning, organizing, and conducting practices and games.
• Build and sustain a competitive program that reflects the values and standards of SPCHS.
• Mentor student-athletes in sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and character development.
• Collaborate with JV and feeder programs to ensure program alignment and long-term growth.
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with players, parents, faculty, and administration.
• Manage scheduling, travel, uniforms, equipment, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with FHSAA, diocesan, and school policies.
• Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
• Promote the program within the school and local community to increase participation and visibility.
• Encourage and assist student-athletes in pursuing opportunities to play at the next level.
