Job summary

Westwood Public School seeks candidates for the Alpine Ski Head Coach position for the 2026-27 school year. The role requires knowledge of MIAA rules, concussion and CPR/AED certifications, and effective communication with administrators, faculty, parents, and student-athletes.

Desirable candidates have prior Alpine Ski coaching experience and experience with high school or college programs, with a flexible schedule for home and away games.

Qualifications

• Previous Alpine Ski coaching experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of the MIAA Handbook and rules.
• Previous experience in either high school, college or both is desirable.
• Must be Concussion Certified
• Must be CPR/AED Certified
• Must have or obtain the MIAA Coaches Education Certification
• Must communicate effectively with school admin, faculty, parents, and student-athletes
• Should supervise student-athletes at all team events
• Should promote a positive learning environment for all team members
• Must have a flexible schedule for home games and buses for away games
• Must communicate with athletic trainer concerning injuries and student playing status

Responsibilities

• Head Alpine Ski coach for the 2026-27 school year.
• Coordinate with school administration and athletic trainer.
• Supervise student-athletes at all home and away events.
• Promote a positive learning environment for all team members.
• Maintain flexible scheduling for home games and bus travel for away games.
