Job summary

Cox is seeking a Lead User Researcher to set research strategies and guide programs across multiple products. You will demonstrate advanced mastery across UXR competencies and serve as a research leader within CAI, developing portfolio roadmaps and coordinating cross-team initiatives.

You will apply agentic AI to build repeatable insight systems, mentor senior researchers, and influence product direction with evidence-backed opportunities. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in a related field.
• Proven success leading large, multi-team research programs.
• Deep command of ethnography, journey mapping, synthesis.
• Ability to architect insight frameworks, operations models and standards.
• Strong influence skills; trusted advisor to directors and senior leadership.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define portfolio level research strategies with measurable success criteria.
• Lead multiteam, multimethod research programs across product lines.
• Develop advanced personas, journey architectures, and ecosystem maps.
• Mentor Senior Researchers and oversee repositories for durability.
• Apply advanced AI to develop repeatable insight pipelines and QC.
• Partner with Research Operations on governance, panels, and tooling.
• Facilitate alignment workshops with senior product and UX leaders.
• Influence roadmaps with evidence-backed opportunity areas.
• Develop capacity plans and guide resource allocation.
• Champion ethical research practices and participant safety.
