Job summary

Avalore is seeking an experienced User Experience Designer to lead the plan, design, and development of UX for devices and systems in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with product owners, SMEs, and engineering teams to prototype and refine interactions that meet user needs and align with product strategy.

The role requires extensive UX design experience, leadership, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility, and involves coordinating across multiple engineering teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• Ten years of experience in User Experience Design in relevant domains.
• Five years of experience leading project life cycle design in the last decade.
• Three years of experience with screen mock-up tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Visio, Axure) and related prototyping tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead plan, design and development of user experience for devices, tools and systems.
• Establish interactive conventions, gather user requirements and create screen mock-ups.
• Prototype iteratively with Product Owners and stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Review designs with front-end developers to ensure adherence to design standards.
• Coordinate across teams to inspire and provide feedback to other designers.
• Lead lifecycle design including customer interviews and presenting design solutions.
