Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a small crew in pruning and removing trees for utility providers in Cambridge, OH and surrounding counties. CDL preferred and extensive safety practices are required for this on-site role.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and a strong incentive program. Ideal candidates have line clearance experience or related tree work and relevant pesticide licenses if state law requires.

Qualifications

• Must be outdoors-oriented and physically able to lead a tree crew.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willing to obtain.
• Prefer CDL Class A or B with Air Brake endorsement.
• Experience in line clearance or related tree work preferred.
• Possession of ISA Arborist or TCIA Tree Care certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2–5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for electric utilities.
• Inspect job sites with proper planning and safety.
• Operate and maintain tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees on job procedures.
• Ensure work complies with utility and safety standards.
