Davey Tree Surgery Company in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Foreman/Foreperson to lead a crew in utility line clearance projects. The role focuses on supervising line clearing and tree trimming work for major electric utility providers, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

You will coordinate crews, plan tasks, and oversee tool and equipment readiness, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, as part of a hands-on field team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CDL Class A license required or preferred.
• Pesticide license if required by state law; herbicide license a plus.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks.
• Supervises and assists in maintenance, preparation and operation of tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
• Ability to perform all above mentioned functions.
