Job summary

Gloucester County Public Utilities Department seeks a Utilities Instrumentation & Mechanic Foreman to lead installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation and control systems in water treatment and wastewater facilities. The role requires supervisory experience and strong PLC knowledge, ensuring safe, reliable utility service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of mechanical/maintenance experience with pumps, motors, valves and control systems.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Water/wastewater experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, repair and replace instrumentation and control systems.
• Coordinate procurement of parts and supervise technicians as assigned.
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematics including PLC ladder logic.
• Develop cost estimates and manage resource deployment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain records.
