Job summary

CK Contractors and Development LLC is seeking a Utility Foreman to lead a utility crew installing sanitary, storm water sewer structures, pipes, and related systems. The role requires coordinating with site management, reading project plans, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on job sites within a 70-mile radius of the Charlotte metro area.

You will oversee daily tasks, train team members, and manage logistics, with overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with water lines, storm water lines, sanitary sewer, and underground utilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
• Must be well organized with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent safety awareness and ability to follow policies and safety standards.
• Ability to work with others to achieve company results and think critically.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily tasks of the utility crew.
• Read and understand project plans and specifications; coordinate with site management to determine pipe routes and install sequences.
• Report on work to Superintendent.
• Inspect work site to determine sequencing and methods; survey for hazards.
• Plan system installation to minimize interference with other activities.
• Coach team members by teaching proper pipe construction techniques.
• Monitor crew structure, sizing, and wage compliance with the Superintendent.
• Maintain safety around equipment and hazards; monitor for OSHA compliance.
• Complete required paperwork and submit as required.
• Interpret production schedules and comply with regulations including Erosion Control Laws.
• Complete OSHA trenching and excavation training requirements.
• Monitor operations to ensure health and safety standards are met.
