Seattle City Light is seeking a Utility Construction Lead Worker to perform skilled outdoor construction, repair and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems and sewer work. The role reports to the Civil Construction Supervisor and requires Monday–Friday availability with weekend/evening shifts as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of heavy outdoor construction experience, plus a valid Class A CDL and Washington driver’s license, plus several safety

Qualificações

• Two years of heavy, outdoor construction experience.
• Successful completion of a written/working test involving non-energized electrical vaults, trucks and hand tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead hand or machine excavation for electrical ducts, vaults, hand holes and sewer; set up traffic control at sites.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools (jack hammers, drills, video cameras, hydraulic shoring, asphalt gads and tempers, concrete saws).
• Lead and perform limited carpentry, masonry and asphalt work incidental to underground electrical systems.
• Operate heavy trucks (10-yard dump trucks) and haul earth-moving equipment on flatbed trailers; operate derricks and lift gates for equipment installation.
• Lead cleanup and removal of PCB-contaminated oils, asbestos and other insulating materials.
• Maintain positive working relationships in a diverse workforce.
• Perform related duties of a comparable level or type as assigned.
