Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
• Municipal government experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare utility bills for water, sewer, trash, and storm-water and review readings.
• Post payments, prepare journal entries, and balance to the general ledger.
• Process disconnects for nonpayment and reconnections after payment.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve errors; oversee adjustments.
• Supervise staff, train employees, and manage workload and performance.
• Assist with ACFR schedules and ensure GAAP compliance for city finances.
