Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an experienced urban planner to lead planning projects in Louisiana. You will coordinate with multi-discipline teams from concept through completion, develop planning alternatives, and contribute to reports and environmental documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.

The role involves presenting findings, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to scopes of work and proposals. A strong background in GIS and data-driven planning is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field.
• 6 years of related professional experience or
• Master’s degree with 5 yrs of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external coordination with project team members across disciplines.
• Develop and maintain client meetings and interactions.
• Conduct or direct research on planning issues and formulate recommendations.
• Develop conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation projects.
• Lead production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house staff to complete tasks.
