Job description

Job Summary: The primary responsibility is to perform clerical duties on a nursing or clinical unit while maintaining confidentiality.

Foster a cooperative atmosphere by being professional, pleasant, and helpful to staff, patients, and families.

Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies, guiding principles, rules, and regulations.

Attend orientation and complete ongoing in-service education as required.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assemble new charts.
  • Create requisitions.
  • Report needed repairs promptly to relevant services.
  • Answer phones, relay messages, and schedule appointments.
  • Prepare charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Maintain forms in charts as needed.
  • Communicate with other departments timely, such as PAS and Bed Board.
  • Order and restock unit supplies.
  • Keep work area clean and organized for oneself and the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule: 40/80, Full-Time, Days, Every Other Weekend
