Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Team Underwriter to evaluate, select, and manage underwriting risks while aligning with guidelines and authority limits. You will underwrite new and renewal business, provide technical expertise, and support the coordination and development of underwriting teams.

The role balances individual underwriting responsibility with team leadership to ensure compliance and consistent execution across the organization. A relevant license and designation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred.
• Appropriate state-specific insurance license required; professional designations may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Manage underwriting workflow through full lifecycle per standards.
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality and predictability.
• Review and resolve underwriting issues and coverage adjustments.
• Collaborate with producers, agents, and internal teams on decisions.
• Provide leadership and coordination across underwriting teams.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters with technical guidance.
