Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking an experienced underwriter to assess large, complex risks and negotiate premiums for high-value clients. You will manage broker and carrier relationships and ensure profitable production aligned with company goals.

The role requires 7+ years of underwriting experience, a Property & Casualty license, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. Travel to client meetings and ongoing education are expected as part of a dynamic underwriting team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting experience.
• For direct client service/underwriting, Property & Casualty license is required.
• Broad knowledge of insurance market and appetite.
• Strong negotiation and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and company systems.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new and renewal accounts, including complex assignments.
• Review policies as a subject-matter expert.
• Collaborate with brokers and carriers to secure profitable production.
• Travel up to 20% for client meetings and relationship building.
• Provide training and coaching to underwriting staff.
