Job summary

Pennoni seeks a PE Diver to lead underwater and topside inspection teams from Baltimore, MD or Newark, DE. The role covers inspections across DE, MD, DC, VA, PA, NJ and CONUS, with emergency response duties and detailed report drafting.

Requirements include PE licensure, 7+ years of underwater inspection, ADCI certification, USDOT medical, and strong leadership and communication skills for team and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license is required.
• 7+ years underwater bridge inspection experience.
• Meet NBIS underwater/topside team leader requirements.
• Commercial Diving (ADCI) certification.
• Current USDOT physical and ADCI medical within last 12 months.
• Valid state driver's license; ability to travel/overnight travel.
• Physically capable of field work in inclement weather and at heights.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Underwater and Topside Inspection Teams from our offices in Baltimore, MD or Newark, DE.
• Perform underwater and topside inspections of bridges and waterfront structures across multiple states.
• Provide emergency response services related to weather events.
• Draft and review inspection reports for clear client communication.
• Maintain diving equipment per Safe Diving Practices Manual and manufacturer specs.
• Ensure quality of work meets industry standards for safety and procedures.
• Plan, schedule, and perform NBIS-compliant bridge inspections; coordinate with owners.
