Job summary

STR is hiring an embedded signal processing engineer to design, develop, and test real-time software for distributed undersea acoustic systems, spanning theory to deployment on real-time hardware.

You will work with C/C++, MATLAB, Python on ARM and low-SWAP processors, use containers, Git, Jira, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate software on target hardware; eligibility for U.S. security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded coding in C++ and Python; real-time signal processing on low-SWAP hardware.
• Experience with ARM and DSP boards for embedded systems.
• Experience interfacing ADCs/DACs, filters, and data communication interfaces.
• Familiarity with Linux in embedded environments and using development containers.
• Active security clearance eligible; US citizenship may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize real-time acoustic signal processing algorithms.
