Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an Underground Pipe Superintendent for our Water Division, based in Apache Junction, AZ and Goodyear, AZ. You will oversee field operations, develop and manage project schedules, coordinate subcontracts, drawings and specs, and drive projects on time and within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will establish budgets, monitor cost variances, identify risks, and ensure daily logs and time cards are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in field operations, piping or heavy civil projects.
• High School diploma required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Relocation may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of field operations
• Create and manage project schedule
• Coordination of subcontracts, drawings, and specifications
• Establishing budgets and controlling cost
• Identify the causes of cost variances and eliminate negative variances
• Identify project risk, and work to mitigate it
• Communicate quality standards to each subcontractor and vendor
• Conduct systematic quality control inspections
• Follows company safety program, laws, and OSHA operating standards
• Manages jobsite cleanliness
• Prepares daily time cards for personnel under supervision
• Prepares daily logs
