Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in underground utility construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of underground utility installation methods and safety procedures.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews in installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards; conduct safety briefings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project plans for accurate execution.
• Plan daily schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, trenchers, loaders) as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct quality inspections and manage material inventory.
• Maintain daily progress and hours; mentor crew members.
