Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Lead Process Engineer for our Elko, NV office, responsible for technical leadership on mining projects. The role includes optimizing underground paste backfill systems and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mining or metallurgical engineering and over 10 years of relevant experience in mining. This position emphasizes safety, effective communication, and project coordination within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant consulting or operating experience in a mining setting.
• Background in design or operation of backfill plants and mine infrastructure.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project coordination for underground mining projects.
• Lead design and optimization of underground paste backfill systems.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and WSP standards.
