Job summary

GridSource in LaPlace, LA is seeking an Underground Foreman to safely operate directional drilling and excavation projects. The role requires strong leadership, field supervision, and the ability to interpret prints while avoiding utilities.

Pay ranges from $29–$31 per hour depending on experience, with full-time benefits. Responsibilities include supervising crews, inspecting equipment, and ensuring safety compliance on all jobs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of underground telecom/broadband construction experience.
• Valid Class D license required.
• Ability to interpret construction prints and as-built drawings.
• Experience locating, fusion, and boring HDPE gas lines.
• Physically able to lift up to 95 lbs and work outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Operate the drill rig efficiently and safely.
• Navigate drill head to avoid utilities and maintain correct depths.
• Inspect and fuel vehicles before shifts.
• Learn and independently operate facility equipment.
• Use all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Stay updated on industry technological advancements.
• Communicate effectively to resolve issues.
• Support team efforts and uphold GridSource's mission and values.
• Maintain a positive work environment and build professional relationships.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
