Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation and completion of an allied health training program.
• Two years of ultrasound experience in a clinical setting.
• ARDMS registration required for experienced sonographer; new graduates must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk 1-3 hours, lift 50 lbs with good body mechanics.
• Vision/hearing requirements per job specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, coordinates, and monitors the daily activities in Ultrasound Imaging section.
• Serve as clinical resource to sonographers in the area.
• Assist in development of ultrasound imaging protocols and QA activities.
• Perform ultrasound studies across adult, pediatric, and obstetric populations.
• Provide preliminary radiologist interpretation and review cases with radiologists.
• Ensure aseptic techniques and infection control; operate Doppler and vascular ultrasound equipment.
• Complete RIS/PACs entries, scheduling, and other office functions.
