About the Opportunity

GSG is seeking a highly skilled UI Developer / UI Lead to join a new application modernization initiative. This role is ideal for a hands‑on React expert who can provide technical leadership, help shape the future vision of the UI architecture, and guide the team through the next phase of front‑end development.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience designing and building modern, scalable React applications while also mentoring junior developers and leading a UI pod. This person will play a critical role in evaluating existing systems, defining the future‑state UI approach, and driving high‑quality front‑end execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a UI development pod in the design and delivery of modern web applications.
• Develop scalable, reusable, and high‑performing front‑end solutions using React.
• Evaluate current UI architecture and provide recommendations for future‑state improvements.
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership and mentorship to junior UI developers.
• Establish and promote front‑end best practices, coding standards, and design consistency.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to overall application modernization efforts.
• Ensure responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross‑browser compatibility.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience developing enterprise applications with React.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring UI/front‑end development teams.
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable front‑end architectures.
• Strong understanding of component‑based design and state management.
• Ability to assess existing applications and recommend future UI direction and improvements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a UI Lead or Lead Developer capacity.
• Exposure to modern front‑end tooling and frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with architecture and product teams.
• Local candidates strongly preferred.
