Job summary

Drotek Inc. in the Windermere/Orlando area is hiring a hands-on UAS Field Technician & Flight Test Operator to lead drone assembly, maintenance, and live client demonstrations as part of our new Florida headquarters.

You will plan and execute flight tests, ensure FAA compliance, provide on-site technical support, and relay field feedback to our French R&D team to help improve the system. This is a founding US role with startup impact.

Qualifications

• Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate mandatory.
• 3+ years in UAS/drone maintenance, assembly, and flight operations.
• Strong background in electronics, micro-soldering, and hardware diagnostics.
• Deep understanding of FAA regulations and airspace authorization processes (LAANC, COA, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills for training clients and delivering live demos.

Responsibilities

• Flight Operations & Demos: plan, secure, and execute safe drone swarm demonstrations.
• Assembly & Maintenance: build, solder, troubleshoot, and repair drone hardware.
• Customer Technical Support: diagnose hardware/software issues on-site or remotely.
• FAA Compliance & Safety: navigate FAA regulations and secure airspace authorizations.
• HQ Liaison (RETEX): relay field data to the French R&D team.
