Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Simi Valley, CA is seeking an Engineering Development Technician IV to support the development and integration of unmanned aircraft systems.

This hands-on role focuses on assembly, integration, test, and shop support for prototype drones and related subsystems. You will build and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies, document processes, and work with engineers to improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience assembling and testing unmanned systems or RC aircraft.
• Technical degree or certificate in a relevant field is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD/3D modeling tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/electrical assembly, integration, and testing of unmanned systems.
• Operate shop equipment; assist with wiring harnesses and avionics installation.
• Plan builds, document processes, and support knowledge transfer.
• Lead technicians on projects and coordinate with engineers.
