Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Turner (Machinist).
• Strong technical skills with the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc.
• Read blueprints, sketches or other specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining
• Select the appropriate tools and materials needed for each job
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the machining process
