Job summary

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader within Manufacturing Engineering, Trim & Final.

You will lead a team of manufacturing engineers, guiding day-to-day goals and optimizing production processes and equipment to meet safety, quality, output, and cost targets. The role emphasizes project leadership, cross-functional collaboration with other departments and suppliers, and involvement in new model development from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• MS Excel and MS Word proficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership experience.
• Willingness to travel overseas and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists staff in daily, weekly, and annual duties and responsibilities with quality on-time delivery.
• Ensures engineering activities meet specifications and performance standards.
• Leads and supports projects, technology development, and section planning.
• Interacts with other engineering departments to promote cross-functional cooperation.
• Collaborates with outside contractors, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers to develop best solutions.
• Drives cost effectiveness and feasibility assessments of manufacturing processes.
• Leads Kaizen activity and data-driven process improvements.
