Job summary

Almstead Tree and Shrub Care is seeking a Tree Crew Leader to guide residential tree care crews in CT and tri-state area. The role focuses on directing crew work, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring client satisfaction on every job.

Ideal candidates have 5-7 years in residential tree care, knowledge of species and rigging, and the ability to train crew members. Compensation is hourly with benefits including health and retirement plans, paid time off, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in residential tree care, able to train/direct crew in all facets of tree care.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew in performance of work; assign tasks.
• Supervise workmanship to meet job order specs.
• Walk job site with arborist and develop work plan.
• Enforce safety practices and PPE usage at all times.
• Manage time, equipment and materials for efficient completion.
• Direct cleanup and secure equipment on trucks.
• Communicate with client to ensure satisfaction.
• Order materials for trucks and equipment.
• Ensure crews follow safety policies and procedures.
• Lead safety briefings and training on site.
• Demonstrate climbing, pruning, and rigging techniques.
