SavATree is hiring a Crew Lead Tree Climber in Northvale, NJ. You will perform high-quality prune, removal, and cabling work, climbing safely with proper gear, and operating chainsaws and bucket trucks as part of a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience pruning large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care services including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using proper techniques and gear.
• Operate chainsaws and aerial lifts effectively.
• Apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper pruning cuts preserving tree health and structure.
• Assist in removals using ropes or spikes for safe takedowns.
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after each job.
• Perform aerial rescues when necessary to ensure safety in high-risk situations.
• Maintain strong communication with team members and clients.
• Take ownership and contribute to a safety-focused team culture.
