Job summary

HWC Engineering in Terre Haute, IN seeks a Transportation Project Manager with a civil engineering background to lead roadway design projects and mentor staff. You will manage scope, budgets, and client relations for INDOT and local agency transportation efforts.

The role requires PE licensure in Indiana, strong data analysis, and experience in rural and urban roadway design, cost estimating, and quality control of design calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license in Indiana required.
• Experience mentoring engineers across rural/urban roadway design and cost estimating.
• Knowledge of INDOT/LPA delivery processes and scheduling constraints.
• Strong data analysis, time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management on transportation projects.
• Collaborate with marketing to respond to RFPs.
• Quality control of civil design calculations.
• Engage with clients to define scope and fees for services.
• Mentor roadway design staff (PEs, EIs, Techs) on INDOT/Local projects.
• Manage project budgets and staffing plans.
• Coordinate with partners, INDOT staff, and local agencies.
