Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Valid Professional Engineer’s license.
• Experience interpreting plans, contracts, and specs.
• Knowledge of highway construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with VDOT staff, local government, consultants, and FHWA.
• Oversee engineering studies and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate construction workloads and consultant needs.
• Assist in contract administration and claim handling.
• Develop policies and procedures for engineering programs.
