Job summary

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a senior Civil Engineering Manager to provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance for transportation design projects. The role requires overseeing budgets, schedules, and quality standards, and training staff to support VDOT programs.

You will supervise a team of engineers and professionals, maintain stakeholder relationships, and ensure project delivery aligns with policy, codes, and Virginia design criteria.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Valid Professional Engineer license is required.
Experience leading civil-engineering transportation projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee budgets, schedules and design criteria for roadway/transportation projects.
Provide technical guidance and training to staff; ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
