Job summary

Neptune Township School District is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and administer the district's transportation program, ensuring safe and cost-effective student transport. The role oversees routing, contracts, budgeting, state reporting, and vendor relations, serving as the liaison for transportation inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in school transportation, familiarity with Transfinder/PowerSchool, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• NJ School Transportation Supervisor certification preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in school transportation or logistics; NJ public schools experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NJED transportation regulations, reporting requirements including DRTRS.
• Experience with routing software (Transfinder preferred), PowerSchool or similar SIS, MS Office/Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer the district transportation program to support instruction and activities.
• Survey transportation needs of resident students to inform routing decisions.
• Prepare bid specifications for routes and review bid awards in accordance with state statute.
• Oversee budgeting, state reporting, and vendor relations; maintain transportation records.
