Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) efforts on major transportation infrastructure programs in South Carolina. You’ll manage contracts, coordinate with agencies, oversee QA/QC, and mentor CEI staff to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years related experience in construction/CEI or project management.
• 2+ years of project management experience and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) activities for major transportation infrastructure projects.
• Administer construction contracts, including review and processing of change orders, supplemental agreements, RFIs, and claims.
• Manage quality assurance and quality control programs, ensuring proper inspection, materials testing, and documentation procedures.
• Coordinate with governing agencies for project compliance.
• Support business development activities, proposal preparation, project interviews, and client relationship management as needed.
• Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate with the team to stay within schedule.
• Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller, and Department Manager for project reviews.
• Mentor and develop CEI staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
