Job summary

Metro Associates is seeking a Transportation Bridge Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of bridge projects for transportation networks. This role requires strong technical and leadership skills to guide projects from concept through construction while ensuring quality and compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, manage budgets and client relationships, and collaborate with agencies and stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure with long-term value.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years in transportation bridge design engineering and project management.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, STAAD and bridge design software.
• Proven success in developing trusted, long-term client relationships.
• Familiarity with NYSDOT design standards preferred.
• Dedicated to collaboration, integrity and respect; strong organizational skills.

• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships to support successful outcomes and repeat business.
• Oversee project billing, client updates, QA/QC of deliverables, and project closeout.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee estimates for new and existing clients.
• Mentor and support the development of junior staff.

What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Transportation Bridge Project Manager

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s preferred
• 7+ years progressive transportation bridge design engineering and project management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing bridge design transportation projects from design through delivery.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
• Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software preferred
• Proven success in developing trusted, long-term client relationships
• Familiarity with NYSDOT design standards preferred
