Jacobs seeks an Electric Transmission Siting Professional to guide routing, permitting, and stakeholder engagement for transmission projects across planning through development in the United States.

The role emphasizes leading siting workstreams, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering regulatory-ready reports while traveling periodically. The position offers a hybrid work model and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in planning, geography, environmental science, engineering, real estate, or related field.
• 4–8 years supporting electric transmission or linear infrastructure projects with experience in route evaluation, permitting, and environmental planning.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and reviewing consultant deliverables.
• Familiarity with utility siting, transmission permitting, agency coordination, landowner outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, prioritization, and GIS/project-management tool skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute route, site, and constraint evaluations with professional judgment.
• Support landowner outreach, property research, access coordination, and right-of-way activities.
• Lead portions of client meetings, agency consultations, stakeholder discussions, and field activities.
• Review junior staff work, providing task-level direction and quality control.
• Recommend solutions to routine technical, coordination, and project-management challenges while monitoring budget and schedule.
