Job summary

Ameren Transmission is seeking a Supervising Engineer to supervise and develop staff, lead planning studies, and ensure compliant design and operations of the transmission system. The role requires coordinating internal and consultant teams, and representing Ameren in policy and industry activities.

The successful candidate will oversee power-flow and reliability studies, contribute to technical leadership, and mentor engineers while maintaining strong adherence to NERC CIP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university required.
• Electrical Engineering preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
• Seven or more years of Electric Utility experience required.
• Five years of Transmission Planning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for power-flow, short-circuit, stability and reliability studies to plan transmission facilities.
• Plan, schedule, prioritize and coordinate activities to meet schedules and costs.
• Represent the company and provide expert testimony as required.
• Ensure NERC standard compliance and participate in audits and industry committees.
