The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking talented and motivated Lead Engineer candidates to join our Transmission Line group. This position involves designing High Voltage (69kV-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD software. The role is open to any location or remote work.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and uses advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices to complete complex projects. Responsibilities include: facilitating collaboration among disciplines, acting as a client contact to determine project scope and requirements, developing construction documents, and coordinating project design aspects. Final deliverables include design criteria, drawings, structure details, and specifications. The engineer will also estimate costs and specify materials.

What We Expect from You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
• Minimum 7 years' engineering experience, with at least 5 years in Transmission Line Engineering
• PE license required
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred
• Experience working with utilities is highly preferred
• Strong client relationship skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Experience in training and mentoring team members
• Reviewing project drawings, calculations, and specifications
• Creativity and latitude in problem-solving
• Collaborative skills for multi-discipline projects
• Analytical, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Interpersonal skills for effective relationships with staff, management, clients, and agencies
• Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD preferred

Additional Details
