Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced transmission line engineer to design and review high-voltage transmission projects. You will conduct cost analyses, establish design criteria, and coordinate with vendors, clients, and project teams to deliver secure, compliant engineering solutions.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering credentials, extensive PLS-CADD experience, and 7+ years of relevant project exposure. Occasional travel and leadership responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
Proficiency with PLS-CADD for reviewing transmission line models.
7+ years of project-team experience in design, cost estimates, scheduling, procurement specs, and coordination with construction.

Responsibilities

Design transmission lines in 69kV–500kV range and develop design criteria.
Perform cost analyses, routing and siting for transmission lines.
Specify components, conductors, shielding and grounding; review right of way requirements.
