Join to apply for the Lead Transmission Line Engineer 1 - Grid role at Sargent & Lundy.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days remote.

Responsibilities May Include

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly and meeting client and company standards.
• Perform independent reviews of work by others, including calculations, drawings, and PLS-CADD models.
• Follow Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 10+ years of transmission design experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
• Experience with scope development, conceptual design, equipment selection, calculations, and specifications.
• Experience working directly with clients on 69kV-500kV transmission lines.
• Knowledge of standards like NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.

Valued but Not Required

• PE license
• PMP certification
• Construction experience
• Familiarity with ArcGIS

Compensation Range

$109,410 - $168,770
