Job summary

FC Traffic Control is seeking a hands-on Lead Technician to supervise a team in outdoor traffic control projects. You will oversee setup, measurements, tool readiness, and site safety, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion.

As a lead, you will direct traffic management, coordinate with the crew, and drive equipment maintenance while maintaining strict safety standards and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in outdoor environments, preferably traffic control.
• Must have prior traffic control experience.
• Willing to work weekends and nights as needed.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Able to travel to other FC Traffic locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unloading and setup of cones, signs, and posts to prepare work zones.
• Ensure areas are measured, marked, and aligned for efficient progress.
• Oversee preparation and maintenance of tools and materials for installation.
• Manage tasks like digging post holes and erecting signs.
• Lead the team in hands-on work using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Safely direct and oversee traffic around work zones and protect crew and public.
• Supervise technicians to ensure on-time, high-quality work.
• Manage company vehicles and equipment, keeping them ready for the next project.
• Inspect traffic control devices for defects and proper operation.
• Enhance customer service and satisfaction through strong leadership and communication.
