Job summary

FC Traffic Control, LLC is seeking a Lead Technician to manage a team of technicians in outdoor work zones. You will supervise setup of traffic control devices, ensure accurate layout, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable service to communities.

Ideal candidates have prior traffic control experience, physical stamina for outdoor work, and a commitment to safety. Weekend and night work may be required; a valid driver’s license and background check are necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have prior traffic control experience.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Outdoor Setup: Supervise unloading and setup of cones, signs, and posts to prepare work zones.
• Precision Layout: Ensure construction areas are measured, marked, and aligned for progress.
• Tool Master: Oversee preparation and maintenance of tools and materials for installation.
• Jobsite Prep: Manage digging post holes, erecting signs, and cleaning debris to keep site safe.
• Tool Operator: Lead hands-on tasks using hand and power tools to complete work to standard.
• Traffic Control: Direct and oversee traffic around work zones for crew and public safety.
• Team Leader: Oversee technicians to ensure tasks are completed on time and to high standard.
• Drive and Organize: Manage company vehicles and equipment, keeping them ready for next project.
• Inspect and Perfect: Check traffic control devices for defects and ensure proper functioning.
• Customer Focus: Improve customer service and satisfaction through leadership and communication.
