Job summary

Westfall Technik Inc. in Wakefield site is seeking a Lead Tool Maker to design, fabricate, assemble and maintain precision tooling for production. This role requires mentoring junior toolmakers, leading tooling projects, and collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve tooling efficiency.

You will ensure tools meet quality standards and safety protocols, with opportunities for growth within the tooling organization.

Qualifications

• Lead toolmakers design, fabricate, assemble and repair tooling for production.
• Mentor junior team members and drive tooling improvements.
• Must read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Perform inspections with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, assemble, and repair precision tools and dies.
• Oversee tool maintenance and prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Production to optimize tooling.
• Lead small tooling projects and estimate resources.
• Document tooling issues and repair history.
